Thankful Thursday {vol. 2}

Wow, has is really been 15 days since my last post??  Well then... how quickly time flies!! It's been a very busy couple of week with holiday prep and being {happily} chained to my work station working on a new collection of fine silver charms!
Double heart & dog tag charms

Today I am thanful for gratitude. Yes, gratitude!  I'm thankful that I know what it feels to be grateful and I am thankful for the benefits of living a grateful life.  It's such a simple thing really; yet lately it seems that people are so dissatisfied with what they don't have.  Jonathan Carrol posted earlier this week "Gratitude turns what we have into enough."  Shit happens, life happens, what we think will be changes.  Accept the here and now and be grateful for what you have already... it will help unlock the door of possibility to what you WANT!

I am grateful for you!

AND...tomorrow is the last day to enter my giveaway for a crystal (Swarovski) cocktail ring!

Live big, love hard, look inward and laugh

Today is December 1st.  Though you doubtfully need a reminder from me based on the volume of tweets and facebook posts of people excitedly chatting about the begining of their "favorite time of the year".  Normally, I would fall right in line with this group of happy December lovers; but this year I'm feeling a little uninspired about 12/2011.  In fact, I'm kind of hoping it will come and go as quickly and quitely as possible.

2011 pretty much flipped my world upside down.  In the earliest days of the new year, my world, as I knew it, was suddenly and unexpectedly tossed in the air and landed with a messy splat.  I know it's a little unfair to blame a year for such things, but I think 2011 can handle it.

It's easy to glom onto the hard, sad, painful moments, but truthfully I was also blessed with many incredible and inspiring milestones.  And if I had to pick just three, that inspire me today, I would say "thank you, 2011, for the...
 ...kick-in-the-pants you gave me to launch my jewelry business and website {on my 35th birthday, no less}
...much needed introspection which has been incredible for my soul.
...undying support of my friends and family, without whom I would be sitting here lost if it weren't for your love and safe grounding when I've {sometimes ungracefully} fallen down. You know who you are."
Life is short.  Live big, love hard, look inward and laugh.

Here are a few things which are inspiring me to do just that at this very moment:

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
-Abraham Lincoln

Love is when two people know everything about eachother and are still friends.
-Mary Oliver

Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others.
-Benjamin Franklin

HA HA HA!  Those arms! Kill me.
